It's been a busy spring and summer even with being at home and working on projects remotely. Here's a quick preview of what's coming up for me:
June 2 @ 2:10 pm PT
There’s no question we’re experiencing collective, widespread trauma right now. What do we need to know to inform how we care for ourselves and our students. We talk to Anna Keil about the trauma of living through a pandemic. Anna is a Certified EQ-i 2.0 Emotional Intelligence Facilitator and PROSCI Change Manager. She has over 12 years of experience in education, and five years of international leadership in Asia and Europe. Anna holds a Masters Degree in Psychology and a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, with a special education endorsement in emotional impairment.
June 9 @ 2:10 pm PT
This week we chat with Michelle Baragona, VP of Instruction and Jeffrey Powell, Instructional Technology Specialist at Northeast Mississippi Community College. We'll talk about the changing role of community college and what they see as the future.
June 16 @ 1:40 pm PT
Mike and I will be presenting at NEMCC's Mobile Learning Conference (we are also a sponsor). Creating Podcasts with your mobile device is a remarkable and rewarding process for both an educator and her students. In this session, we’ll explore strategies, processes, and tools that will allow you to integrate podcasting into your creative endeavors.
June 23 & 24
This is a virtual technology conference focused at educators, administrators, coaches, and other folks in the education space. Check out the speaker lineup:
We're switching it up this year. Inspired by the amount of Netflix watching we've been doing, we're doing less conference and more conversation. We're going in depth with a variety of experts across 10+ episodes. It's a free conference. You can't miss it.
That's what we've got going on. Leave a message in the comments or reach out to me on twitter @weberswords. ✌
